Members
of the second Crew that will live aboard the International Space Station,
Commander Yuri Usachev from Russia and U.S. Astronauts Susan Helms and Jim
Voss, participate in Soyuz winter survival training in March 1998 near
Star City, Russia. The training prepares the Crew in the event the Soyuz
spacecraft, used as an emergency crew return "lifeboat" for the
station, were to land in a location where the crew could not be
immediately reached. |
